CPK Media, LLC (“Christopher Kimball’s Milk Street”) warrants to the initial purchaser that Milk Street products will be free of defects in material and workmanship from the date of purchase for as long as said purchaser owns the product. Milk Street reserves the right to reject warranty claims from purchasers for products purchased from unauthorized sellers, including unauthorized Internet sites. This warranty does not cover any defects due to normal wear and tear, damage due to misuse or abuse, alteration to the product, negligence, or any damage resulting from use other than the intended purpose of the item. This Limited Warranty gives you certain legal rights, and you may also have other rights which differ from state to state.

Who this Warranty extends to

This Limited Warranty extends to the original purchaser of any above products as long as the purchase date is within 1 year. All Milk Street warranties, including any implied warranties, are valid only for the period of time the Product is owned by the original purchaser of the Product. The “original purchaser,” for the purposes of this Warranty, is the first purchaser of the Product from Milk Street. Warranties are not transferable. 

What this Limited Warranty covers

This Limited Warranty applies to Defects due to faulty workmanship or materials, subject to the limitations described in this warranty.

What this Limited Warranty does not cover

• Normal wear and tear as a result of washing and intended use. Please always follow our care guide.

• Knife blade or handle preference.

• Physical abuse or damage to the Products, including but not limited to, chips, stains, rust; provided, that the defect is caused by such abuse or damage.

• Damage caused by institutional or commercial use.

• Any Products by resellers who are not authorized retailers.

• Lost or Stolen Knives

Replacement Options

In the event of a Defect, Milk Street's sole and exclusive liability and your sole remedy under this Limited Warranty will be:

Milk Street to provide a replacement Product or a credit for the price of the product at the time of purchase, subject to your fulfillment of “Your Responsibilities” below. 

If the product is out of stock at the time of replacement, we will contact you. We can offer a product at equal or lesser value, we can notify you when it's back in stock, or provide a credit memo for the price of the product at purchase. 

How to Submit a Warranty Claim

In the event of a Defect and in order to get the benefit of this Limited Warranty, you must:

• Images (evidence of a Defect) and a description of the Defect must be first sent to [email protected].

• In the event of a Defect, Milk Street will ship a replacement Product (if applicable) to you.

The replaced Product is subject to the same Limited Warranty as the original Product. For example, if you obtain a replacement knife that is the same style and price as the original knife, then the warranty term of the replaced knife begins from the date of purchase of the original knife.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

There are no warranties which extend beyond those stated herein and a purchasable Extended Warranty. Any implied warranties that may be applicable to products, including implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose, are limited in duration to the duration of this warranty. Some States do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, so the above limitation may not apply to you. Under no circumstances shall Milk Street be liable for any special, incidental, or consequential damages based upon breach of this limited warranty, breach of contract or strict liability. Some States do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation or exclusion may not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which vary from State to State.
